Issues & Priorities
Health Care
Expanding Minnesota Care - I will work to ensure that Minnesota Care covers the working and middle class.

Oversight of Nursing Care - I will work to bring better oversight of nursing care and group home facilities to ensure our most vulnerable Minnesotans receive the best care.

Expanding Mental Health Care - I will work to create more 16-bed mental health facilities to meet growing needs.

Living Wage for Healthcare Workers - I will ensure personal care attendants other professionals who care for the most vulnerable are paid a living wage. Paying a living wage will attract the best caretakers for our elderly and most vulnerable Minnesotans.
Combatting Fraud
Outsourcing social programs to businesses and nonprofits has opened the door to a lack of oversight and fraud.
We must stop outsourcing government services. These services need to be provided by state and county governments to ensure proper oversight and pathways for reporting waste and fraud. I will ensure that our tax dollars are responsibility spent and that those in need receive services.
Education
I will ensure the state fully funds K-12 education, especially special education programs, so schools don't have to rely on property taxes. When my youngest son was in school, I advocated for phonics to be brought back into our schools, since it is one of the most effective ways to teach children to read. I will continue to advocate for students, teachers and parents to ensure they have the resources they need to be successful.
All students should feel welcomed and able to thrive in school.
Veterans
Veterans made sacrifices for our freedom. It is important to provide supportive services for them when they return home.
Housing
Homelessness - I will address homelessness by working with local governments to convert abandoned hotels and other buildings into dormitory-style shelters that provide safe housing for individuals who are experiencing homelessness.
These shelters will be equipped with resources such as job counseling, and mental health and addiction services.

Affordable Housing - I will work with local governments to increase affordable housing options, especially for seniors, and to stabilize market-rate housing costs.
Abortion
Abortion care is health care. It should be based on science and left to the medical community instead of Legislators.
Environment
I support addressing climate change and pollution. In particular, I will hold businesses and government responsible for PFAS in our land and water.
PFAS affect our health, food sources and our farmers.
